In this inaugural post, we showcase what has changed in our research process and why. We introduce a revised methodology for categorizing technologies, we present the Stories, our new editorial content, as well as some additional exciting features of the platform. We will also explain how you can use the techDetector, and how you can collaborate with us. 

Welcome to the techDetector Platform

Our proprietary methodology is a research standard designed to analyze and classify emerging technologies, containing a series of metrics and criteria created to keep track of the latest technological developments.

In an effort to implement more democratic technological developments, Envisioning together with GIZ Morocco, developed the techDetector Morocco, an interactive tool that helps track emerging technologies and assess their potential according to local needs.

Adapting to Climate Change

With the Paris Agreement of 2015, the international community has made a binding commitment for the first time to reduce global warming to well below two degrees or even to 1.5 degrees, if possible. However, climate change is already taking place, so people, ecosystems, infrastructure, investments, etc. need to be adapted to the consequences. GIZ supports partner countries in increasing their adaptation capacity and resilience.
