A Ribonucleic Acid spray based on biocompatible compounds that can temporarily suppress specific genes in plants.
A Ribonucleic Acid spray based on biocompatible compounds that can temporarily suppress specific genes in plants.

A GMO-free solution that induces gene silencing through the activation of RNA Interference (RNAi) using direct exogenous delivery of RNA molecules (dsRNAs and sRNAs) rather than using recombinant viruses or transgenes. Instead of permanently modifying an organism's genome, this technology makes it possible to block some specific genes using a spray-on for a temporary, reversible effect without changing the plant DNA. The RNA Spray does not rely on toxic materials and is based on biocompatible compounds that occur naturally in organisms and food. Possible uses include resistance against pathogens, insects/pests, nematodes, and viruses.
